Editorial policy
Coastal Travel Stories aims to give readers clear, considered writing about coastal travel and places. We value accuracy, independence and a plain account of what a story can and cannot establish.
Accuracy and context
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable information available to us before publication. We use precise language, distinguish observation from established fact, and avoid filling gaps with guesses. A story should offer enough context for readers to understand its scope and should not imply that one account represents every coastal place.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to secure favourable treatment for a destination, service or product. A relationship with a partner does not determine our editorial conclusions. Where a relevant interest could affect how a piece is understood, we explain it clearly.
Corrections
Readers are welcome to point out errors or unclear passages through the Contact page. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making the change plainly rather than silently changing a significant factual point. We may clarify wording when doing so helps readers understand the original meaning.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, provided or partner-supported material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Any partner placement follows the same clear labelling principle. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs of a real place or event.
